We strongly encourage all clients to tip both their guide and the cook. Guide gratuities typically average 15% of the total hunt cost per hunter. Cook gratuities are based on performance and quality of meals and are left to each hunter’s discretion, though they generally average around 5%.

While tipping is optional, it is greatly appreciated, as guiding and camp cooking are demanding professions that play a major role in the quality of your hunting experience.

Archery - 85% shot opportunity--40-50% Success

Rifle 90% shot opportunity--50-60% Success

This is a hunting trip—not a guaranteed harvest. Success is never assured. In past seasons, opportunity rates have ranged from 65% to 100%, with clients given opportunities on 5×5 or larger bulls. However, no harvest is ever guaranteed.

Our policy states that if a client wounds or draws blood on an animal that is not recovered, their hunt for that species is considered complete. We do not believe in taking unnecessary shots. Our goal is to make every hunt respectful of both the hunter’s time and the animal—meaning a clean, ethical harvest is the only acceptable outcome. In the event of a wounded animal, every reasonable effort will be made to track and recover it.

Success is influenced by effort, patience, and commitment, and opportunity increases with hard work. 2H Outdoors provides knowledgeable and seasoned guides, further improving your chances for a successful and ethical hunt.

Expected game size and harvest goals will be discussed in advance with your guide and the owner to ensure clear expectations for your hunt.

The cabin is available Saturday at noon. Your hunt will end noon on the following Friday

You can start to apply for tags March 1st.  2H Outdoors also offers a service to apply for you.  Contact us for more information

Hunts occur across diverse terrain, from rich bottomland to rugged mountain country, with vast timbered ridges and wide-open sagebrush flats.
